During the current economic crisis I feel that we could learn a lot from looking at the ways people saved money during the second world war. Not so much rationing, but advice to save money on energy bills and cost cutting household tips.
I created a campaign called 'Penny Pinchin' The campaign consists of a website, a weekly supplement in the Guardian and a range of posters to promote the campaign. The idea is that people post their top money saving tips onto the website, these are then published in the Guardian supplement. The supplement will cover a different topic every week ie: electric, gas, paper, water, cleaning and cooking. The supplements also contain various vouchers to help people save money.
